Pacino's 70's

Starting this Friday the 18th, Film Forum is hosting a week of Al Pacino's greatest films from the decade, which, incidentally, are some of the greatest films of the decade. They're going to be showing The Godfather, The Godfather II, Panic in Needle Park, Dog Day Afternoon and Serpico among others, so, if you can't get a hold of me you know where to find me.

Dog Day Afternoon

It looks like there is going to be another blizzard thrust upon NYC right now and if you're looking for something to do to pass the time, do yourself a favor and watch Dog Day Afternoon. I recently watched it again after a few years and realized just how brilliant it is. Al Pacino is at is sexiest and most naive and John Cazale's subtle genius makes him one of the mot underrated actors of his day.
